3D Skeletons for Medical Shape Modeling

I - Bone

Skeleton of a carpal bone. Threshold on wave crossing (angle) equals 80 degrees.

Carpal bone. Simple threshold on wave crossing (angle) equals 100 degrees:
homotpoy property is not preserved (holes are created in the skeletal sheets).

II. Carotid Arteries

Original 3D segmented image (via Bubbles).

3D skeletons via discrete CADT (threshold of 80 deg.).
