Previous: Transform into CAD models
Takes multiple data sets (unorganized 3D points, surface traces, volumetric
samplings) to create:
- Surface models (patches of different types, modeling special features - e.g.
ridges - and giving a complete cover of an objects outline).
- Topological consistency through parts and joins.
- Higher shape representation models to permit manipulations, deformations, evolutions.
- Permit to build true 3D scanners (not just copiers): it not only produces
a 3D outline of real components, but a useful 3D shape computer model.
