Dec. 1999
Barus & Holley, Rm. 312 - Eng. bldg. 3rd floor, 3pm.
I will talk about Algebraic Curves and Surfaces and how they could be used in shape analysis alone and with ridges and skeletons.
Also, I will talk about preliminary ideas for computer assembly of mathematical models of cyllindrically symmetric pots (i.e., those made on a wheel) from mathematical models of fragments, and with that as a beginning, we can then have a brainstorming session to explore ideas and begin to layout a system for doing the task in the first year of the SHARP project.
