Summary
In this seminar we will present an overview of the
on-going research being performed at LEMS and in co-operation with
others. In particular, we will describe recent efforts on some (or all,
if time permits) of the following topics:
-
Short presentation of Brown University, LEMS and the
city of Providence.
-
Brief presentation of the Faculty at LEMS, their main
topics of research interests.
-
Brief summary of existing collaborations within the
Brown community and abroad.
-
Brief summary of my own vitae and research
interests.
-
Representations of 2D and 3D datasets based on
symmetry sets, for the characterization of shape parts, dynamics and
evolution.
-
Computational aspects in 2D and 3D :
-
retrieval of shocks in pure reaction or mixed
diffusion-reaction evolution processes.
-
Applications.
Image & 3D Object Database
Management :
-
2D shape morphing and genesis
-
Interactive 3D rendering through Global Visibility
computation
-
Interactive 3D sketching
-
CyberCity and CyberMonument
-
Petra project (archaeology)
-
